Healthy Steak Burrito Bowl Meal Prep




Lime juice, avocados, cilantro, STEAK, need I say more? I needed something delicious and easy for this week so I decided to make this. In a previous blog post I described how to make stove top steak  which is super easy. I decided to use extra virgin olive oil this time and no butter (wamp wamp wamp). Feel free to fit this to your diet, use chicken or shrimp, omit the beans and rice if you are keto and add more meat or avocado, make it fit your life! That being said, meal prep doesn't have to be boring and should still be tasty. So here is the recipe I used for my meal prep which worked for 3 meals, enjoy!




Ingredients:
  • 1red onion diced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro 
  • 1 can black beans
  • 1/4 cup queso fresco
  • 3 limes sliced 
  • 2 medium size steaks cooked and sliced
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice (or quinoa)
  • 3 avocados sliced (squeeze lime juice on avocados to prevent them from browning)

Directions:



  1. Divide all of these ingredients between 3 containers
  2. leave lime slices in the containers to squeeze on the food the day you eat it
  3. eat cold or warm









Yeah, it's that easy, but also very very good :)
